Terrible design decision that if you use consumables, say during a boss fight, they are gone when it resets and spawns you back at the checkpoint. Effectively meaning you should just Alt+F4 every time you die and ACTUALLY RESTART for each attempt. Again, if they game 'resets' you back to a check point, respawns the monsters and/or fills the boss HP back up to full there is no excuse for the Enemy health in particular gets over scaled. With no traits and no other equipment, a character with gear score 20 needs 50% more shots to kill an enemy than a character with gear score 1 and the same gun.
